george strait tickets

Tickets go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. for the Jan. 10 George Strait show. They are $54.50 and 64.50 each.

Here is the ticket policy:

Numbered wristbands for the first day of ticket sales will be distributed for one day only on Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Frank Erwin Center and at all Texas Box Office Outlets.

The beginning of the line will be randomly determined on Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

Wristbands guarantee a place in line, but do not guarantee tickets. There is a 10 ticket limit.

Does this mean you can't buy them online starting Saturday at 10? You have to go stand in line?

totally confused. My boyfriend already bought one online for me. The price was considerably more expensive however. What gives?

You can of course buy them online at the same time that the in-person ticket sales are going on. The numbered wristbands are a policy of the Erwin Center that has been in effect for well over 20 years (the venue calls them "visa bands" by the way). It's the same pool of tickets in either option, and the dirty rotten scalpers will be out in force scooping them up by the ton both online and in person.

Mandy, if your boyfriend claims to have already bought them online, he bought the PROMISE of a pair of tickets from a scalper, not from the venue itself. Buyer beware!
