MILLVALE, Pa. - One person was killed and several others injured when two vehicles collided on Route 28 late Saturday night. It happened just before midnight near the 40th Street Bridge in Millvale.

Rescue crews worked to free two people trapped inside the wreckage. At least six people were transported to area hospitals, according to 911 dispatchers.

The medical examiner's office said Candace Killinger, 19, of Bethel Park, died at Allegheny General Hospital.

An accident reconstruction team was called to the scene.

Allegheny County Homicide detectives are investigating.
